At 07:00 am approx. We contact you at your hotel and transfer
to Lampa, located 75 km in the northwest of the dept, known as the "Pink
City" which retains its colonial structure.
Its temple "St. James" has an exact replica of Michelangelo's Pieta. In this
town we also find the single most beautiful colonial bridge made of
Calicanto. Then we continue to Pukara and visit the oldest archaeological
site in the area called “Kalasaya” ceremonial center where anthropomorphic
stone sculptures found preserved in the museum. Has the temple Santa Isabel
built in pink granite. Today the town produces original ceramic crafts,
highlighting the Toritos.
At approximately 12:00 hours we spent at the famous Ayaviri for lunch
Cancacho (roast lamb) and visit the San Francisco de Asis Church, of baroque
style that features a wooden altar carved and gilded in gold. Then we will
visit Tinajani Canyon where we will see amazing formations Tinajani Valley
appear to be made by human hands in clay and sandstone rock that gives the
impression of an enchanted citadel and is a center of mystical high positive
energy. At 16:30 hours start our way back to Puno, arriving to your hotel
about 19:00. (L)
